Biology Alumni Gathering Connects Alumni and Students with Fun and Joy
Summertime is the time for getting together with old friends as well as meeting junior students, sharing food and thoughts. Over 15 alumni backed to the campus, shared fun and rekindled friendship with teaching staff and current students at the Biology Alumni Gathering on 17 July 2015. The event was organized by the Biology Alumni Association (the Association) aimed at strengthening ties with alumni in a relaxed ambience.
In the welcome remarks, Mr Daniel Mui, President of the Association shared that the Committee is committed to contributing to the Department and strengthening the connection between alumni. In collaboration with the Department; a Mentorship Programme would be launched in the new academic year (2015-16). A few experienced and professional senior executives of Biology alumni had been confirmed to serve as mentors to share their valuable experiences with students. Also, seminars and workshop on leadership and life-skills sharing would be staged for Year 3 students whereas added their insight on the understanding of workplace and the journey of transitioning from school to work.
Alumni had an enjoyable evening with their old buddies and updating their recent happenings, as well as sharing their valuable experiences with current students.
